Patterns With Back Pain

We all have patterns. When we get up in the morning we bath , shower and follow the same proceedure. We have breakfast, go to work the same route with all the same patterns.

Patterns either Help or Hinder you. So just for now humour me. Just take a look at yourself, what do you see? Just for the sake of conversation, are you happy with yourself and with what you are doing? Can you see something that doesn't serve you well? Do you feel tired, uninspired do you have pain of any sort?

Lets take the view that you have some of the above. What pattern/s can you see? First of all we need to recognise the pattern, then we need to break it, then we need to replace it with something that is a positive that help us rather than hinder us.

If we want to feel better perhaps a change of clothes would help, clothes that uplift us. Do you wear dark clothes? If so try wearing brighter colours at least your are trying a different pattern.

In sanscript terms sometimes a word has many interpretations, Malar is one of them. Malar means dirt, and we all carry some dirt around with us. However, if you put an over score over the 'a's' (unable to show you on this computer) Malar becomes 'Maalaar' which means beautiful garland. So how can we transform a pattern (Malar - dirt) to a pattern that will serve us well (Maalaar - beautiful garland)?

If we have back pain, what can we do to turn that around? It may mean looking at our foundation in a pose to see if we can inhance our alignment -  change the pattern.

When we sit (particulaly when driving) can we sit better with a better posture? At home do colapse into the sofa or can we find a better pattern and consider our posture that would serve us better? When we walk upstairs (if we have stairs) do we lean forward to compensate and hang on to the hand rail or can we not use the hand rail and use our legs to get upstairs whether at home or in the shopping mall? What 'dirt' can we let go of and perhaps bring some 'beautiful garlands into our lifes?

We will always have patterns in our lives, it is a habit so why not have 'better' habits in our lives that serve us? So take a GOOD look at you and see what you can change.
