Neck and Back Pain Part 5

Treatment

Yoga is a fantastic form of preventative and health care and with regular practice you can alleviate neck and back pain while avoiding high costs associated with medical treatment.  Making Sense of Pain Relief often pain management for back and neck problems includes alternative therapies as part of a larger allopathic plan, rather than as a solo treatment. Learn how to evaluate pain management options and incorporate alternative medicine into your treatment plan as appropriate for your back or neck condition.  Hypertension, the relaxation and exercise components of yoga have a major role to play in the treatment and prevention of high blood pressure.

Spinal

In fact, the subluxation complex, which simply means a spinal bone or vertebrae has fallen out of alignment, is almost always overlooked when a patient is first examined by their physician for neck pain.  On one side, the exercises are good for the discs, and lifting the disc we may reduce the pressure on the spinal cord.  Muscle Pains (Myalgia) Yoga is believed to reduce pain by helping the brain's pain centre regulate the gate-controlling mechanism located in the spinal cord and the secretion of natural painkillers in the body. Nervous System:  A system in the body that is comprised of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, ganglia and parts of the receptor organs that receive and interpret stimuli and transmit impulses to effector organs.

Care

The exercises that are dealing with the neck problems will automatically take care of the shoulder problems, compared to the neck, the shoulder is usually easier to fix.  The earlier you begin taking care of your back, the better. Iyengar yoga affords me the opportunity to work carefully, deeply and consciously with a teacher-guide who continually brings me to the fullness of yoga.

Stress

It seems that the stress may affect the deep little muscles that are attached to the backbone. In addition to exercises, consider Tai Chi and Chi Gun stress relieving techniques.  Tai chi chuan stimulates the central nervous system, lowers blood pressure, relieves stress, and gently tones muscles without strain.  Another benefit I have found from the yoga is its ability to calm and relax me, thus reducing my stress and it seems to have helped to improve my over all health. Yoga helps to reduce stress as well as increase strength, flexibility, energy, balance and concentration. Whether you realize it or not, a seat that is not suitable for your body may be giving you to avoid unnecessary fatigue and stress on your back, neck and blood circulation.
