Chakra As An Alternative Healing

The study of chakra attracted many experts from the humanist perspective, particularly the area of psychology.

Chakra means “wheel of light” in Sanskrit, an old-Indian language. These chakras look like wheel of vortices of pure energy that enters into the body. They are sometimes called “lotuses” that spin really fast until they become spheres of radiant energies. The major chakras serve as pathways for energies to flow into the body.

C. G. Jung refers to these chakras as “gateways of consciousness.” This is because chakras contain large amount of physical energies, categorized into seven major chakras. Each chakra has its own purpose, association and connection. Every chakra is associated with a specific color and emotional and physical connection. For example, lower chakras are linked with back pain. They also envelopes physic energies, which are used for materializations as well as mediums for producing ectoplasm.

Heart chakra is one of the seven chakras. Its designated color is green. It is associated with the emotions encompassing love. As center of the major chakras, it connects the lower chakras with the upper ones. Usually, a balanced heart chakra leads to unconditional love for yourself and others around you. It can also be divine or spiritual love.

Imbalanced heart chakra causes a person to be sensitive leading him to experience negative emotions such as anger, coldness, depression, and heart troubles. People with imbalanced heart chakra have trouble relating to romantic relationships. This is because they may give love but expect something in return.

For believers, they sometimes go to chakra healers for medication. A chakra healer usually asks several questions pertaining to health to be able to locate the chakras that are blocked and unbalanced. Then a chakra healer would tell you the tools leading to a harmonious circulation of energy through your body.

Many chakra healers are also Reiki healers. Reiki, a healing method has been about for many years, if one delves deep enough it goes back many thousands of years. There are also many forms of healing which of which many focus on the body chakras.

An easy way to remember the chakras and their colours in order is as follows; Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain.

Red the base chakra, Orange the Sacral chakra, Yellow the Solar Plexus, Green the heart, Indigo the Third Eye and Violet the Crown chakra.

With regular practice of yoga the chakras can remain in balance keeping the energies flowing through the body.
