Back Pain Early Prevention Part 4

These girls were surprised what they could do. When I mentioned to the classes (there were two classes) and showed them what we were going to try, their faces told quite a picture. The negative side kicked in straight away saying 'I can't do that', so they couldn't. They become locked in their thinking.

After seeing the poses performed, do you think that if they said 'I wonder how I can do that?' Do you think that at least they had a 50% chance of success? Even if they attempted the pose they would have been one step nearer. Some did and again were surprised what they achieved when they put the negative thinking aside.

Ok, where do we go from here? To have a freeier body we need to be more open in our thinking and not trapped by our previous thinking. Take each day as a child with a new toy, a new experience.

There are many poses with many variations all can be of benefit; all you need is an attitude that will serve you well to start with. Just start, you can refine the pose to an intermediate and advanced level as time goes by with practice. The longest journey starts with the first step. Think you can and you can, think you can't and you're right.

Find a class, teacher who you feel is right for you at this time, it may be just for beginners, it doesn't matter as long as you start. At home perhaps starting in the morning for 30 minutes is a good start. If you are keen then perhaps a further 30 minutes before you go to bed. The more you get into it the more you will want to know. It may seem that you are not doing much at all, what you are doing is giving yourself Preventative medicine, working on blocked areas in your body known or unknown.

You will become freer in the mind, body and spirit; your thinking will improve as will your actions. Involve your family, show them what you have learned, you never know they might surprise you, young ones included. It inspires me to see youngsters taking part in yoga sessions, they are our future and they can learn what you and I show them, whether it is positive or negative. What is your attitude, PMA or NMA? (Positive Mental Attitude or Negative Mental Attitude). It's up to you. Take care, Until next time, take care.
