Back Pain Secrets Part 5

Conclusion

By practicing yoga on a regular basis you will become stronger as the muscles are stretched and toned giving you more flexibility. You will look younger, feel better and have a lot more energy. As an all round maintenance programme, for your body and if and when injury occurs your body will recover quicker than if you didn’t practice yoga.

Yoga with meditation will also help relieve tension – a form of stress management if you like. Tension in the neck and shoulders can build up very quickly and if not addressed will give result to more pain and suffering. By recognising what is going on with your body you will be able to put into place some form of recovery programme to help you heal and recover.

You may drawn to yoga for health and fitness or to help with the stress of every day life. Some may start on spiritual path with yoga to help them on their journey.

Stress is a big part of lives and our body will tend to take on this stress and lead to tension, and then the rest of the body starts to compensate as a result leading to imbalance. With regular yoga practice your will have peace in the mind, joy in the heart and health in the body helping you to a balanced life.

If you have neck, shoulder or back issues then your practice will be centred on these areas more than general maintenance. You will be focused on your particular area – neck, shoulder or back.

A particular yoga exercise for neck and shoulders is one of the Swastika poses which combines the neck, shoulders middle and upper back. For those who have restricted movement in the neck you will need to take extra care to avoid working ‘too hard’. If you are gentle and allow your neck and shoulder to ‘let go’ and relax into it you will be ok. Always work where it is agreeably uncomfortable, your are in control, not your ego.

Your ego can be very powerful, urging you on to do more at a cost of creating tension, and tension is a killer. We need to work with our body and going with the flow, accepting where we are and making steps towards our desired goal to lose our neck, shoulder or back pain. I would suggest that with the above you practice at lease once a day on your particular condition, better if it was twice a day – morning and night. And if you are really keen, small slots in your working day to help keep your muscles on form and yopur body mobile.
