For pleasure of course, but, according to the Archives of Sexual Behavior, this is not the only reason why people engage is this pleasurable act.  Of course, for most people it is still an expression of love and affection.  But there are also others who consider sex as a way to fall as sleep, return a favor and even because somebody dared them to.</p>
<p>But who would have thought that having sex could actually help your back? </p>
<p>Having sex is actually beneficial.  Most people would say that sex is like exercise.  And they are right.   It actually burns more calories and can burn away fat.  More calories could be burned in a minute of having sex compared with playing a match of tennis.  It is even said to suppress appetite! </p>
<p>Excessive weight is actually a contributing factor to back pain, it would put too much weight or burden on the vertebral disc which could lead to deformation.  Too much weight would also require the muscles in the back to work harder than a normal person’s back muscles just to maintain a posture and move the body.</p>
<p>Men can benefit a lot from sex since it produces testosterone.  Testosterone is a chemical which helps the body with its muscle and bone building. Back pain happens because the back muscles are overused, it may be necessary to build muscle strength and tone it to avoid any chronic back pains.</p>
<p>It could even help in keeping the heart healthy.  There are studies conducted by Queens University showing that those men who are having sex three or more times a week has lower risks of heart attack and stroke. </p>
<p>There are also research showing that men who have sex once or twice has better immune system because of the production of antibody Immunoglobulin A.  This antibody hastens healing and makes the immune system stronger.  Other research would show that sex reduces risk of prostate problems, a natural pain killer and a great way to recover from stress.</p>
<p>Thinking about it, we could have pleasure and still remain or keep our bodies healthy.  What a wonderful world!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to recent studies, about 16.5 million of Americans practice yoga, while there are about 25 million who are seriously considering on starting for the 12 months.  It is the most widely used and practiced exercise system in the world.</p>
<p>Yoga is not just about retaining a posture or a position, it is about proper breathing, building and toning muscles, and achieving a balance of mind and body.  There are a lot of people who are into yoga since it would be able to help them deal and manage pain. </p>
<p>One of the most common muscle and body pains that could be dealt with yoga is the shoulder pain.  Shoulder pain could happen because of overexertion in different kinds of activities, like the frozen shoulder or the adhesive capsulitis.   Movement is severely restricted because of the pain.</p>
<p>Yoga has different exercises that would help strengthen the shoulder muscles.  Strengthening and toning the muscles would help in keeping the pain from happening again.  Some shoulder exercises are shoulder hang, backwards shoulder, and praying shoulder stretch.</p>
<p>Doctors are recognizing yoga as one of the most effective complimentary and alternative medicine treatment.  There are orthopaedic surgeons who would recommend yoga exercises that would strengthen and tone shoulder muscles.  These shoulder exercises would increase the shoulder’s mobility in all angles.</p>
<p>Aside from the fact that it could help in pain management, focus and calmness is important when maintaining yoga positions and postures called asanas.  These attitudes could definitely help athletes and those who are working on getting their stress levels reduced.</p>
<p>Practicing and regularly performing shoulder exercises could definitely help in getting rid of shoulder pain and achieving positive attitude and balance. These exercises would just take about half an hour of your time everyday.  A little of your time which could definitely get you a ray of sunshine for your shoulder ache.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Back pain although one of the most common muscle ache problems, could also be a very troublesome.  It could hurt so bad that it could affect daily routine.  It could be caused by repetitive movements or lifting heavy objects.  There are jobs with high risk factors of back pain, one common occupation is nursing.</p>
<p>Nurses would usually have to deal with back pain since they would have to deal with lifting medical equipment, transferring patients and even bed making.  There are equipments that could help in reducing the force lifting heavy objects.  For example, a gait belt could help nurses transfer a patient from the bed to the seat.</p>
<p>However, there are emergency situations when immediate action is important.  Nurses would often fail to acknowledge personally safety because they would put the condition of the patient first.  Staff shortages or equipment shortages could also be factors .  These incidents would eventually lead to back pain. </p>
<p>Because of a tiring shift, nurses would often forget to get long term solutions for their back pains.  It is just easier to pop a pill and allocate more time fore rest and sleeping. Yoga could provide tremendous effects on putting balance back into a person’s body and resolve back pains in the long run.</p>
<p>Yoga exercises and postures for back pain actually does not take too much time.  It would just take an average of thirty minutes a day for simple asanas or postures. Addressing back pain issues among nurses is becoming a concern since there are studies showing that 47 nursing staff from a particular hospital reported about 80 occurrences of some form of back pain during their career.</p>
<p>It is normal to use yoga to recuperate from injury.  Doctors would recommend yoga to patients who are recovering from muscular and even joint injury.  When injured and at bed rest for a long period of time, it would cause muscles and joints to get stiff eventually paving the way to another back injury. </p>
<p>Although, there are claims that back pains and other muscles pain would go away by resting, it is exercise which would make it ease up.  There are low-impact exercises which could strengthen those muscles building its resistance to pain. There are self-care books which could be used to practice simple and low-impact yoga poses and postures.</p>
<p>However, these positive effects of yoga can be felt if the patients would take part in the change not just allow the change to happen. A few minutes a day would surely make a difference as long as you open your mind, body and spirit to it.</p>

<p>Yoga would be able to help reducing the risks of falling for elderly people.  There are studies showing that a nine-week course could improve balance, strength, flexibility and walking speed.  Participants would say that they feel more “centered”.  It would mean that they are pretty much balanced on their feet.</p>
<p>Aside from improving their health, there was also a change on their outlook in life.  This just means that yoga was not only there to improve physical health but also emotional and spiritual being. </p>
<p>According to the Fall Prevention for Seniors, injuries brought by falling accidents are higher in elderly population and as the older a person gets the higher the risks are. They say that prevention is better than cure.  This is the concept of learning yoga exercises.  To prevent fractured hips and slip discs, then prevent the fall that causes these injuries.  Yoga does not only address the symptoms, it addresses the cause of the problem.</p>
<p>There are studies showing that exercise is capable of increasing bone mineral density especially with those who have postmenopausal osteoporosis. This is an aspect of osteoporosis preventive medication which is not really promoted.  Regular and frequent activity is often not the preventive measure that elderly people think off.</p>
<p>Improving balance is one major thing that yoga could help with the elderly.  There are some elderly practitioners who would say that they could stand on single foot and their legs and feet are more flexible. </p>
<p>This newfound strength could help them definitely with their confidence since they could walk longer and unaided. Aside form improving balance, performing yoga exercises and postures could also address other problems like chronic back pains. </p>
<p>A concrete sample of this would be 24 elderly females who participated in the Iyengar yoga program.  Within nine weeks they were able to improve their physical condition.  This is according to the research of Temple University’s Gait Study Center. These rewards could be increased as they practice more. </p>

<p>It is not only the overuse of muscles which causes <strong>shoulder pain</strong>, arthritis is another culprit.  The cartilage which protects the joints of the shoulder bones wears down, which could be because of aging and repetitive use.  The cartilage could be repaired and the shoulder pain could go away. But it could more than a year before a new cartilage could develop. </p>
<p><a title="Goodbye To Back Pain" href="http://www.goodbyetobackpain.com/secrets/ " target="_blank">Shoulder pain</a> could cause a lot of disruption, it can cause problems with sleeping at night and could interfere with daily activities.  To deal with the pain, a cold or hot pack could be placed on the shoulder for 15 minutes. It could also be used for back and other body pains.  Hot moist pack is recommended during the start of the pain, before going to bed and even in the middle of night when the ache strikes.</p>
<p>There are even drugs injected (cortisone injections) to reduce inflammation.  Some would take pain relievers and relaxing and gentle exercises. Pool exercise monitored by a physical therapist is a kind of gentle exercise. </p>
<p>Yoga, on the other hand, is one of the complementary and alternative medicine and therapy that most doctors recommend. Orthopedic surgeons would also recommend yoga exercises and positions to heal the body.  For more that 5,000 years, yoga has been known to restore physical, mental and emotional health.</p>
<p>Yoga therapy is fitted to cater each person’s needs. Yoga therapy addresses not the symptoms but the causes of the imbalances.  There are series of exercises and postures which are very appropriate for those who have <strong>shoulder, neck and back pains</strong>. </p>
<p>These yoga postures could provide strength to the joints and reduce risk of stiffness.   Since yoga addresses the causes of the pain, it could also lead to a healthier lifestyle.  This could help your body build resistance against arthritis and other sickness.  However, shoulder pain could also be sign of a more serious problem.  It is important to assess the kind of pain and its history.</p>
<p>Simple asanas and yoga postures could go a long way.  It is just a matter of being prepared and decided to do it to help you and your body.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How is your practice going? A regular practice will help so much to stay light and full of energy this summer. There is much activity going on (in the head) preparing and planning for holidays and then catching up upon our return. A daily practice is important to keep us in the present and happy.</p>
<p>There is a need for us to activate the lower chakras and allow the head to quieten down. This is the joy of an asana practice and the importance of keeping this course practical and the attention on what is Now. When the head quietens down we are able to see and to use our intuition. Noise or chatter in the head can be draining. Strengthening the muladhara  the base chakra  takes the energy down and has a quietening effect on the head. Not only that, it is a recuperative and uplifting experience.</p>
<p>Are you dead from the waist down! Could you be trying too hard in the head!<br />
To quieten the head, take the head down into downdog, plough, standing forward bends and also all the sitting forward bends if your back is ready for that or kneeling with the forehead down on the mat. Use your back arch. Always allow your chest to open, releasing energy.</p>
<p>Absolute perfection is here and now, not in some future, near or far. The secret is in action  here and now. It is your behaviour that blinds you to yourself. Disregard whatever you think yourself to be and act as if you were absolutely perfect  whatever your idea of perfection may be. All you need is courage.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How do you feel when you have Back Pain? What colours do you feel like wearing? Are you aware of how colours can help you? Here is little guide to help you.</p>
<p>Today as yoga has become more and more popular it is often characterized by being in the moment, living in the now, appreciating the present moment.</p>
<p>To be present one needs to live with a balanced life style, where you listen to your body, you have fun, let yourself daydream, you work sweat and play, you pay attention to your social, sexual and spiritual being. The clothes that you wear reflect your state of being whether you know it or not.</p>
<p>If you have Back Pain or Neck and Shoulder Pain notice the colour of the clothes that you wear. The colours can help you heal.</p>
<p>At your core there are seven main chakras, these chakras are energy centres and each are associated with a colour and a symbol. Chakras are essential to the clothing line, consisting of shirts, pants, camisoles with matching chakra panties. As you can see, the ladies are well supported well here. Men can choose what they wear to also reflect their mood and well being.</p>
<p>Do you need to be grounded? Red is the Root/Base chakra, this chakra is attributed to stability and inner strength. If you want to feel sexy, Orange is the Sacral chakra, associated with being sensual. If you feel you have a big day ahead of you and you have a few challenges then Yellow is the Solar Plexus chakra, this centre is associated with energy and increased confidence.</p>
<p>Need a hug? The Heart chakra is Green and is associated with compassion and unconditional love. Do you feel shy? Blue is the Throat chakra, and is associated with increased communication and creativity.</p>
<p>If you want to increase your psychic levels then we have Indigo the third eye chakra the unconscious self. Finally we have the Crown chakra which is Purple and I associated with the spiritual world and wisdom.</p>
<p>So as you can see by choosing the appropriate colour will help you with your well being, your mood and to help correct any imbalance within you.</p>
<p>By using colours will help you be in the moment, to live in the moment. Through out the day what colours do you where? Are you willing to change what you are doing? Keep an open mind to all possibilities you never know where it may take you. You could end up with a healthier and balanced body.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You may not realise it, that the body will take on a lot of stress of one sort or another, and before you know it you end up with a lot of potential pain. By doing the above the added bonus is that your clothes will look and fit better and give the best support where you need it.</p>
<p>Do you find that in the evening after work or sooner that you actually remove your bra strap off one shoulder or both for relief? Or do you want to take your bra off completely as soon as you get home?</p>
<p>Why make wearing a bra a painful experience? For fashion???</p>
<p>Bras for the most part are highly engineered and thoughtfully designed. Many bras are beautiful; bras are more about supporting rather than fashion. There is much that goes into making a bra so the same needs to said for the fitting of one.</p>
<p>Most women desire bras with a single hook because they think it is younger looking. However that is not the case. With one hook the bra is tighter fitting giving bulges above and below the strap which isn&#8217;t attractive. It is better to have at least a two hook closing, three or more to achieve adequate support and smoothness. A wider bra back will always give greater support.</p>
<p>For those who do have back pain or neck and shoulder pain it is always best to prevent something from happening rather than a cure. Hopefully the above will help you prevent any trouble that may arise. If you do have trouble in the neck and shoulders then here are some ideas to help you.</p>
<p>Generally the shoulders are going to be rounded, so anything you can do to reverse this is good. Laying on the floor with a foam block at bra strap level will help to counter the rounding of the shoulders. If you haven&#8217;t a block then a towel wrapped and folded will do the job.<br />

Folding your arms behind your back with your hands at the elbows, if you find this a tad too much then reach for the wrists or forearms, anything to open out the chest and reduce the roundness of the shoulders. Massage is great. Whilst on the floor place tennis ball under the shoulder and adjust your body weight to massage that area, try it, it works.</p>
<p>As I said earlier, prevention is better than a cure, so when you chose your bra have a proper fitting.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ok ladies, this is for you. We know that some of you like to look sexy and dress up. And gentlemen, it may be of interest to you if you are considering buying some sexy underwear for your spouse or partner.</p>
<p>How much neck, shoulder and back pain are being contributed by your bra?</p>
<p>Ladies NEED a well fitted bra, particularly if one is well endowed, the weight of the breasts will pull the shoulders forward giving pressure on the neck and shoulders and the upper back, all the makings for back pain.</p>
<p>Comfort is a must when choosing a bra, fashion tends for us to go in that direction rather than what is good for us, a correct bra will help your stance. Some points to look for when choosing a bra. Always get someone to who knows how to fit a bra well, it is surprising how many staff in underwear shops do not know how to fit a bra so chose one a retailer who has someone trained in this area.</p>
<p>Many women walk around unaware of how the fitting is contributing to how you hold your body and the pressure that is placed on the neck and shoulders.</p>
<p>To help lift the bust some women pull the straps up high with the buckle of the strap digging into the shoulder muscle. If the strap is thin and narrow, over time will give an indent in the trapezius muscle which can be painful and giving more trouble towards back pain.</p>
<p>There are some straps that are string/spaghetti like which again are not suited as bra straps. The straps that go over the shoulder ideally would be ½ an inch to 1 inch, wider the better to displace the weight and pull on the straps. For those who like sport a sports bra is a good investment.</p>
<p>The correct cup size is important with good fitting around the body. Two fingers placed under the strap on the shoulder are a good guide also two fingers at the back under the strap where the fasteners are. Ensure that the back of the bra stays in place when you walk that it doesn&#8217;t ride up, if it does it is too loose. The back needs a firm support.</p>
<p>Take time to get it right, it will be a good investment of your time. If you don&#8217;t you could well be on your way to setting yourself up for a lot of pain.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever felt that a nice massage would be nice with essential oils?</p>
<p>One favourite oil to consider for Back Pain is the Juniper Berry. The berry has been used over the centuries for healing purposes. The Juniper tree is found world wide in hot climates such as California, Mexico and the West Indies. It is well known for use as a massage oil for back pain.</p>
<p>It has been used to create infusions, tinctures, lotions, oils, ointments, chest rubs and hair rinses, we will look at it as a massage oil for back pain.</p>
<p>The Juniper Berry when fully ripened, creates essential oils, these are then used to generate the above. The Juniper massage oil for Back Pain ia healing oil and contains powerful anti inflammatory and astringent substances. This oil will help healing to the back and joints and help to heal pain.</p>
<p>To make your own Juniper Massage Oil around 125g of fresh juniper berries, the fresher the better. Also 250ml of Olive oil or Sunflower oil.</p>
<p>You will need to soak the berries over night and allow to soften, then strain and discard the water. If you have a double boiler, place the berries in the unit. If you haven&#8217;t a double boiler, you can place the berries in a covered bowl over a pan of hot water, then add the oil and allow to simmer gently for around 30 minutes, we are looking for the berries to lose their colour and the oil darkens.</p>
<p>Take care not to burn them. Then strain them through a sieve with a lining of muslin keeping the oil separate. Then pour into a glass to store.</p>
<p>It would be helpful to massage the affected area well with the oil 2 – 3 times daily for best results. The oil will keep for months.</p>
<p>There is a wonderful book called Grow Your Own Drugs by James Wong if you are inclined to take this further, useful reading.</p>
<p>Massage along with regular yoga practice will help your recovery time and also help to prevent injuries. As with all exercises you will need to take care and listen to your body to avoid over working, agreeably uncomfortable is the way to go. Remember with back pain if you have a tight side then it is a good idea to repeat the tight side again, this will help to restore the balance.</p>
<p>Any form of exercise is good to keep the body mobile, as long as you are gentle with yourself.</p>
