Namaste

It seems that the past year has been full of change and uncerainty in the world with financail crisis, great loss and circumstances that are unexpected. For many it has been a struggle to keep going. Nobody seems to know what is happening and feel a loss of control.

Some have lost their homes, job, and personal losses. This must be quite scary place to be in. There are some that have not been affected by the ‘credit crunch’ but to some degree we have all or will be effected. There is a lot of doom and gloom out there and it is so easy to get caught up in it. We all know someone who has been effected by the current crisis.

It may be hard to do when you are facing some of the above, even if you are not you feel the ‘vibration’ of those who are. So where ever you are intend to send love and compassion to those less fortunate than you. You may be going through a tough time also and to try to find a positive attitude may be hard work. I feel for you and send you love and healing energy.

We can all send out love by going deep inside ourselves and sending out the smallest compassion to those in need. It is the intention that counts and a little goes a long way, the energy that we reflect is what is taken in. Practice compassion, loving kindness, karma yoga, meditation even giving emotional support to a friend or family member, the smallest act can make a profound difference.

The more we raise our energy level the more we are able to help and wake up others next to us. At times we only want life to go our way and everything to be great. When we encounter hardship, struggle, loss or disappointment we tend to think “why is this happening?” Instead of seeing the potential growth, possible freedom or lesson we may be granted by the circumstance.

I came across this passage which I thought might help you. It is from The Wisdom Of Yoga A seeker’s guide to Extraordinary Living By: Stephen Cope.

In the entire world, there is not one human being who is free from pain. Even in favorable conditions, a person encounters struggle. The external form of struggle appears to be cruel. Some describe it as a horrible demon, but its nature is not malicious. In fact, it is proper to welcome struggle, for its arrival is always auspicious. Struggle keeps us from growing sluggish. It changes an animal into an ideal person. It transforms an ordinary human into a spiritually awake person respected by the world….It is alright if we cannot receive struggle with love, but struggle should never be discarded. To discard struggle is to discard God’s grace.
With all the negativity about aim to do your best, and when you feel down or those close to you try to stimulate the senses, go through them all and see what you can do. Over time a small act leads to a big one. A single drop of water on its own does nothing, but over time can create a gorge.

Stay happy and be with your loved ones, connect with them, tell them you love them and share this Christmas as much of yourself as you can. And remeber to put some time by for you, even if your loved ones are not with you keep them in your heart.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty and support, you also help others by contributing to this site. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2009 and that you have health in the body, peace in the mind and joy in the heart.

A Special Thank you goes out to those who have helped me with support and many tasks over this year and you know who you are.

God Bless you all

This article is by Janelle Scialla from the Earthworks School of the Healing Arts and give thanks for the use of this publication.

Wear or carry the appropriate crystal

The simplest way of gaining benefit from crystals is to wear them for a period of time. Some crystals, such as jaspers, work slowly and continuously, and you may feel you would like their ongoing support. Others may work faster and are best used in short bursts.

Remove them if you start to feel uncomfortable, and make sure they are cleansed. If you are wearing them in the form of jewellery, they are best set in pure metal such as silver or gold, not plated base metal. Metals themselves are used in healing, and can affect the energy of the crystal.

It helps to have them near or touching the area that needs healing, and they are more effective if worn in direct contact with the skin. If you are using a stone to treat a specific area, for example malachite for pain in the lower back, you can alternatively tape it on with Micropore (surgical tape). Be sure you select a relatively flat, smooth crystal, and cleanse it often.

Space clearing and Feng Shui

Crystals can be used to clear a room, create a sacred space, and to nurture and protect those within a home or building.

To keep an area clear and vibrant, a clear quartz or amethyst cluster can be placed in the room. Zeolites, such as apophyllite and stilbite will work well, too.

You can also grid the area by placing a small clear quartz point in each corner. If the terminations are pointing towards the corners this will protect the room; if they are pointing inwards they will charge the energy of the room. This is particularly nice if you are using the room for meditation, but be careful of the size of the crystals used, as in this case size does matter, and too much energy can make everyone feel jumpy. If in doubt, experiment. Selenite or satin spar gypsum can also be used in this way.

Gridding can be used in larger areas to protect or clarify property or help to prevent vandalism, and crystals can even be placed in the foundations of a new building.

Most black, brown or deep red crystals are good for clearing electromagnetic “smog” generated by computers, televisions and your electricity supply. Also helpful are rose quartz, rutilated quartz, or a cluster of clear quartz or amethyst. Place near the area that needs clearing, or between you and the computer. With the exception of the clusters, which are self-cleansing, be sure to cleanse these crystals often, as many of them will absorb the unwanted energy. By carrying them with you, these crystals are also useful for self-protection, if you feel you are being bombarded by negative energy.

If you have an altar, crystals are a wonderful addition. Choose the crystals by what they symbolise to you. For example, you can use rose quartz if you want to attract or strengthen love, improve self-love, or if you wish to symbolise your love of the divine; clear quartz can indicate a spiritual connection, or symbolise purity.

You can also grid crystals around your bed. Use one on the floor by each leg (the bed’s legs – not yours!). Rose quartz is good for nurturing in general, and especially good if you have a recently broken heart or are just in need of some TLC. Amethyst can help you sleep. Some of the green crystals, such as green tourmaline, chrysocolla or moss agate, can help to boost the immune system if you are ill. Again, experiment, and don’t be afraid to try crystals in combination. Clear quartz and selenite are not recommended for the bedroom, as they might keep you awake.

Meditation

Another aspect of gridding involves sitting in a stone circle for a period of time, preferably while meditating. This is not to suggest you plan a trip to Stonehenge, but to simply surround yourself with small crystals. Choose crystals by what you would like to bring into your meditation, and use any number from three upwards. The effect can be amplified by “activating” the circle. If you are used to energy work, you can channel energy and visualise it joining the circle together in a clockwise direction, possibly drawing the circle of light with your hand. Alternatively, use a wand or control crystal to do this. If you use this method, be sure to deactivate the circle at the end, using an anti-clockwise direction.

All crystals can be used in this way. Rose quartz is very gentle and loving, prehnite and “new jade” are detoxifying, honey calcite can aid meditation, and black tourmaline can help you feel protected, and can also help you to move on when you’re feeling “stuck”. These are just a few suggestions. It is useful to combine crystals as well. If you use crystals with terminations (such as clear quartz or amethyst points), the points can be aimed in different directions to varying effects. You can point them away from you, towards you, clockwise or anti-clockwise around you, or even in patterns, such as a spiral or Star of David. Try out different stones, and see how they work in combination. Smaller crystals are preferable, but this is by no means a rule. Many small crystals can be purchased for very little, so expense shouldn’t hinder you.

It can also be helpful to hold a single crystal in meditation to gain self-knowledge and insight, or information about the crystal itself.

Laying on stones

This is an effective method of treating others, and involves placing stones directly on the body. There are many, many different methods, but possibly the easiest method to try is a basic Chakra Layout.

You can try this on yourself, but it’s much more effective to treat another. Choose a crystal for each Chakra, with the right corresponding colour, such as red garnet for the Root Chakra, orange carnelian for the Sacral Chakra, etc. Make sure the crystals are cleansed before you begin. Have the person receiving the treatment lie comfortably on their back, on a bed, the floor, or a treatment table. Place the crystals in order from the Root Chakra up, until you reach the Crown Chakra. If you are placing a crystal in a sensitive area, you might ask the person receiving the treatment to place it (and later remove it) for you. Leave the crystals on for a period of time, say 10-20 minutes, and let them do their work.

This can be further enhanced by channelling white light into each crystal, or directing a wand or control crystal in a clockwise motion around each crystal in turn. Again, begin with the Root Chakra and work your way up. Check with the person every so often to see what they are experiencing. At first they may be aware of particular sensations around the area of certain crystals, but when the Chakras have balanced, they should be relatively unaware of the crystals on their body. If there is a long-term energy blockage, it is not always possible to balance all the Chakras in this way.

If this is the case, use your intuition and discretion to judge when to finish the treatment. When removing the crystals, start with the Crown Chakra and work your way down. Make sure the person is grounded before they get up. If in doubt, hold their ankles, and ask them to imagine their energy flowing down their bodies, into their legs, and pooling in their feet.

Gem waters and elixirs

The fat-free mass of our bodies is made up of approximately 70% water. This varies with age and sex. It has been long believed that water carries vibrational energy, which can be affected by the use of trees and flowers (such as the Bach Flower Remedies), as well as the area in which the water exists. Biophysicists have recently proven this as fact (see Messages from Water, published by HADO Kyoikusha Co, Ltd, and Love Thyself, published by Hay House, Inc, both by Masaru Emoto).

Gem elixirs work in a similar way to flower remedies. Crystals are placed in a clear glass container (with a clear lid) filled with water, and left outside for 12-24 hours, depending on the system. Some healers only charge water in sunlight, but 24 hours means the water has been influenced by light from sun, moon and stars, enhancing it with masculine, feminine and spiritual energy. Because some crystals can be toxic, it’s best to understand this technique in more depth before attempting it. Having said that, charging water with clear quartz or rose quartz is safe, and many people place these crystals in their water filtre jugs.

Use of Wands, Points, and Control Crystals

Wands and Points

Wands and clear quartz points are used to amplify and direct energy. Use these with care and intent. A double terminated quartz crystal (possessing a point at each end) will allow the energy to flow both ways.

Massage wands are carved so that one end comes to a point, and the other is smooth and rounded. These can be used with the rounded end as a massage tool, to break up and dissipate energy blockages. This is best done with training and experience, using a very gentle pressure.

Control Crystals

This is a method of crystal healing favoured by Dramis West and Geoffrey Keyte, who first introduced modern crystal healing to the UK. It involves using a large clear quartz crystal to do most of the work, and to direct other crystals to work in harmony. The Control Crystal is used more like a conductor’s baton than a magic wand, and it is seen as an extension of the self. The advantages of this system are neutrality and detachment of the healer, and the gentleness of the healing itself. Attunement to a control crystal should be learned through a teacher. It involves deep meditation techniques and a period of nightly work with the crystal.

Crystal Massage

Recently many massage therapists have started using stones in their treatments, and not only in hot stone therapies. There are a number of carved crystal shapes specifically designed for use in massage, including flat palm stones, lenses, stylus shapes, spheres, massage wands and massage tools. Tumble stones are also very effective, and even rough crystals and points can be used (with care!).

It is best to learn this through a teacher, but there are also books available on the subject (eg. Crystal Massage for Health and Healing by Michael Gienger, published by Findhorn Press). If you have some experience with massage, you can try working intuitively. Always use a very gentle pressure, as the deep work is done by the vibration of the crystals. Because of this, many massage therapists use this method if they are experiencing RSI or arthritis in their hands and fingers.

Spend time in the right place

Rocks that form through volcanic, sedimentary or metamorphic processes each have their own qualities and implications in healing. To bring about strong transformation and healing, try looking at geological survey map. Choose an area with the right type of formation, and plan a stay in that area for a few days. This method was first researched in Germany by Michael Gienger. (See Crystal Power, Crystal Healing by Michael Gienger, published by Blandford)

Igneous Rocks

Rock formation through volcanic eruption and magma; a liquid substance becomes solid Igneous rocks demonstrate a crystallisation process based on cooling and solidification, and represent potential and predisposition; each igneous mineral symbolises an aspect of spiritual potential, and can support and encourage their development.

Sedimentary Rocks

Rock formation caused by weathering and breaking down of already existing rocks. They are transported by wind, landslides or water, followed by sedimentation at the water table. Sedimentary formation demonstrates the influences of environment, and represents the shaping of our personalities and belief systems due to experiences in our past and upbringing. Sedimentary rocks can help us to recognise and become aware of this shaping, and gradually let go of old patterns

Metamorphic Rocks

Formed in the lower part of earth’s crust under extreme heat and pressure. The metamorphic process includes the formation of mountains, and metamorphosis and transformation into entirely new rocks. This demonstrates the spiritual process of transformation, and represents the burning off of anything that is not necessary. Metamorphic rocks stimulate inner transformation and encourage critical self-reflection.

Namaste To You All

Are You Comfortable Where You Are?

Are you in a place where you want to be?

Are you doing what you want to do?

If you are wonderful, then perhaps you are living your purpose. If not, then maybe you might need to consider to move out of your comfort zone and be UNCOMFORTABLE!

Let me explain. We all strive to our best, we get to a level where some things are ‘just right’ and what we wanted and some are not. Where things are ‘just right’ is where tend to be comfortable, all is ok and perhaps we are content with that.

However, because we are in our comport zone we tend to STAY there! Reluctant to change and do anything different.

We all want to change for the better and feel good about it and sometimes the ‘cost’ – not always financial is too great and we limit ourselves. Unwilling to step out of our comfort zone for whatever the reason.

Now we know that if we do step out of comfort zone one of two things will happen. 1. When you step out of your zone of comfort you may succeed in what you are trying to do, 2nd you may not.

The point is YOU are willing to give it a go regardless of the outcome, there is a 50% chance of you succeeding and a 50% chance of you not. So is your attitude positive or negative? Is your glass half empty or half full? I’m sure you get the point and we are all human.

Ok so what has this to with yoga? We are all the subject of our thoughts, what we think is what we become. So if you want a better life style, better and more flexible and healthy body we need to get into that mindset.

Life always throws us challenges and it how we respond to that is what we become. At the end of the day all we want is peace and we strive to that end. We may have back or neck ache or whatever and seek ways to restore what we have lost.

There is something on the market which reverses the aging process which isn’t a scam. It’s called yoga and I think you know that. And it effectively helps people regain movement and sensation in their bodies they thought were gone. Yoga does “restore” movement to parts of the body weathered by age, illness or disease and has many benefits.

Let me ask you a question. How can I help YOU to get to where you want to go? How can I help you achieve your goals whatever they are? You may have neck, shoulder, back pain or other pain, you may have issues that are not physical but need to be addressed for your wellbeing. We are here to help.

You have already started your journey of wellbeing by practising yoga taking you into many new experiences and taking you on a path towards your goals of self discovery.

Many of you have opened up channels that are taking you on other paths as well as yoga. Teree Harrison is following Chakra Balancing, Diana Zapata from Mexico is teaching yoga, it’s great to see all the variety where you are expanding.

You belong to a wonderful band of people willing to give of yourselves and share what you know, and we are all in benefit of that, so thank you.

It is written, that when are born our purpose is placed in our heart and soul, are you living your purpose?

It’s been great talking to you and I look forward to being in touch with again soon. Remember, if you have any questions please send them in.

Well until the next time take of yourself and keep practising your yoga, you know it makes sense.

God Bless and Namaste

Glen

Namaste to you all

Since last month we have numorous questions on neck and shoulder pain also many of you are interested in Chakra balancing. If you have been following the articles recently you will have found that we touched on chakra balancing with specific exercises.

Lets cover the neck and shoulder pain first. This could of happened some time ago and for whatever reason we now have it! Either neck pain going up into the head and giving us headache, eye strain or even ear ache. With all the muscles that are involved anything is possible.

This applies to shoulder pain also, and if it isn’t addressed there is a good chance that pain will end up in the neck and other various areas.

A little tip that could be helpful to relieve some of your shoulder pain. I’m going to take the view that there is no one that can give you a brief massage or the like, so it’s up to you.

You will need a tennis ball on it’s own or two tennis balls in a sock tied at the end.

With a single tennis ball, while laying on the floor, place the tennis ball under the ‘spot’ where you feel it’s tight. Gently roll your shoulder at the place where it’s tight over the tennis ball, be careful it maybe rather ‘tender’ if you have had it for a while. If you want to work deeper then lift your hips off the floor while rolling, you can vary the intensity by moving your hips back and forth, side to side. Experiment, see what it good for you, the longer you do it the more the tension will release.

With two tennis balls in your sock try this, and take care. You will need to remove your top – shirt/blouse or the tennis ball will get caught up in your clothing.

Laying on the floor, place the tennis balls either side of your spine just below C7, that’s the large ‘bump’ below your neck spine. Now gently ‘walk’ your feet into you while allowing the tennis balls to ‘settle’ either side of the spine as you continue to ‘roll’ the tennis balls down the whole spine.

Again it may be a little bit tender in some areas. If your ok so far and you want to increase the pressure, like before lift your hips to put more weight on the tennis balls working deeper into the muscles down the spine, again apply gentle pressure at first until you get used to it.

If you do this regular, daily maybe for those who at computers or drivers of taxis etc, then this could help you lose your neck or shoulder pain, and in some cases back pain. Remember you are working towards releasing pain rather than increasing the tension in your body, so be gentle with yourself.

Chakra Balancing

We will cover this in more depth later sometime in the future, so for now I will just recap for those who missed the article.

There are many ways to balance chakras. Yoga, reiki, chrystals and other forms of healing, for now we will touch on yoga exercise. And I’m taking the view that you will understand the poses mentioned, if not go to this link and download ‘The Beginners Guide to Yoga with Glen’.

The first chakra is the base or root chakra, and to balance this the bridge pose is advised, two or three times at your own pace.

Second chakra is the Sacral Plexus and the pose is the cobra.

Third chakra is the Solar Plexus with the pose being the bow.

Forth chakra is the Heart Plexus and the pose is the camel.

Fifth chakra is the throat and the fish pose.

Six chakra is the third eye and a Yoga Mudru is suggested. This is achieved by kneeling on the floor and sat on your legs/heels.Take the hands behind you with palms together and pull the arms down straight bringing the shoulder blades together.

Breathe in and as you exhale reach forward with a concave back placing your rib cage on your thighs and then following with your forehead on the floor bringing your arms overhead.

With the next exhilation, now lift the hips off the feet and roll onto the top of your head and continue to bring the arms overhead.

Seventh chakra is the crown and either a headstand or a meditation in half or full lotus.

Take care and I’ll talk to you soon.

Glen

Namaste

July 2008

Namaste To You All

Yoga is becoming one of the fastest growing areas around the world. The latest addition to the yoga world is a mega studio called Pure Yoga. When you have a moment go to www.pureyoga.com

The latest one is due to open around the 25th June 2008 in New York, they have a studio in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei and these studios are huge!

The one in New York is over 25,000 square feet! When you go to their website you will see what they are doing. I understand that they are planning 5-6 studios in New York and are connected to a group that has successfully opereated several health clubs and plan to go nationwide.

They are catering for many styles of yoga with 150 classes! It really is quite impressive.

Ok, so what has it got to do with me? You that is? Well it does seem that more people are finding yoga a great help to them on different levels or they would’nt be doing it. And the big organisations know this and are putting a lot of money into it.

When you have a look at their site, see what you can pick up and use. For instance, you may like the way and ‘feel’ you have when your looking at a certain area. Could you make a little room or area to go when you do your yoga? Creating your ‘sacred’ place?

I’m sure that you will find something of use. And of course TELL ME to see if what I can do for you, it might be something small, it does’nt matter, it’s what is important to you that counts and I will help you all I can.

Do something small. A small drop of water falling on to a stone by itself will not do much, however over a period of time it would have carved out a gorge. Sometimes it’s the small things that make a big difference. The longest journey starts with the first step. So what’s going to be your first step?

Look to see what YOU can do for YOU. Do something that will take you towards your goal, make you feel lifted and keeping your spirits high.

Talk to your angels, your guides, your spirits and they will help you on your journey. Meditate even for a short while and you will be able to develop your psychic abilities. Give yourself some time.

How is your back, your neck, your shoulder or any other part of your body? Are you making progress with your yoga in all areas. Mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. If you have an open mind and I’m sure you have, whatever your ‘ache’ or ‘pain’ it might be worth it to take a look at a book by Louise L.Hay, it is called “You Can Heal Your Life”.

It has a section where you can refer your ‘condition’ to a certain area to see where you fit at this time and what you can do to turn the situation around. As I said, keep an open mind it may help.

Remember any questions that you may have please do send them in,

I look forward to being with you soon.

I wish you well on your journey

Warm regards until the next time

Glen

Namaste

June 2008

Namaste To You All

What’s Your Biggest Challenge At This Time?

Welcome to your June Bulletin, it’s good to be here with you and I hope you are all keeping well.

The Headline above – “What’s Your Biggest Challenge At This Time?” Is, I would like to know what they are and how you are dealing with it from the yogic perspective.

Is yoga helping you in whatever areas in your life? If so where and how? What motivates you? What are your goals? What makes you tick? What’s your PASSION? Tell me. If you want to reply and be anonymous that’s ok too.

I really want to know how yoga is helping YOU. Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. You may have had an experience where yoga has helped you and someone else is going through the same phase as you did. So, by telling us you can help them.

There have had a few key issues this month with back pain and shoulder pain. A gentleman in Dubai has asked “I have 15 drivers who suffer with back pain and we lose 3-4 drivers every now and again as a result, what can we do?”

Those who teach in the classroom who have shoulder and neck issues …

Knee issues … stress … etc.

To some degree we ALL have muscle imbalance and sometimes we aren’t aware of it, the body is wonderful at compensating as I’m sure you know.

So with regard to the above have a look at this:

Bones do not move by themselves.
Muscles move them.
Muscles do not move by themselves.
Nerves tell them.
Nerves do not give the instructions by themselves.
The brain tells them.

Now what can we learn from this?

Ok, let me tell you something that have stayed with me. When I was training with my Spinal Therapy course – Spineworks, my tutor Ian Jarvis ingrained this into our minds. Quite simple really, and when you start to break it down it makes sense. Your can visit Ian’s site at http://www.spineworks.co.uk it will widen your horizons and give you a different perspective.

So, Bones do not move by themselves.
Muscles move them.
Muscles do not move by themselves.
Nerves tell them.
Nerves do not give the instructions by themselves.
The brain tells them.

What that means is that the body will only do what you tell it to do!

So how can we apply that in our every day lives? Do you remember where we touched on in the last newsletter/bulletin, I mentioned “you become your environment”? It’s all relative.

Let me give an example. See what you can make of this. You see a person walking male or female it doesn’t matter. They are walking with their feet at ‘ten to two’ that’s walking with their toes pointing outward.

The head is dropped, the shoulders are rounded and drooping, and with the chest leaning forward. They are walking without a spring in their step. Can you see what dosha (body type) they are?

Let’s reverse it. Now find someone who is walking upright, their feet more central to 12.00 o’clock. Shoulders are back, chest is open and walking sprightly.

Now who would you say has a positive attitude and who has a negative attitude? Remember these are general observations.

So we become what our thoughts are, positive or negative. Now I know we ALL get our own fair share of ‘negativity’, however when we realise this we can change it.

How does this relate to the drivers, teachers etc?

If we have ‘back/neck pain’ etc what can we do about it? If you feel you need to visit your doctor, health professional do so, have a wide opinion base, then decide.

Ok, someone has back pain. How did it happen? Do you lift anything heavy, (it doesn’t always need to be heavy) have you always had the pain? There could be a multitude of reasons. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. The point is there is a muscle imbalance which needs to be addressed.

If you bang your knee or elbow what do you do? You ‘rub it better’ as we were told as children. So what are we doing when we rub it better? Well when we rub it the skin gets warm and we are creating blood flow and helping to free the area of any blockages.

The same is true when you have a massage. When was the last time you had a massage? Why so long?

And in many ways just by doing a simple leg stretch can help your back pain. You are stretching the area, creating blood flow. It may not seem your doing much. It’s a start and YOU are sending the right messages to the brain.

How is your life style? What can you do to improve your life style to give you less stress, tension, muscle and back ache? There is always something you CAN do. It may not seem like it at the time, search and you will find.

I hope you have enjoyed this bulletin and found something of use. If you have any questions please do ask. I will be interviewing Maria Mercati at the BodyHarmonics centre soon, so you still have time to submit your questions to Maria. Send them, I’ll only be too happy to ask on your behalf anonymous if you wish.

I wish you well on your journey

Warm regards until the next time
Glen

Namaste

May 9th 2008

Namaste To You All

You Are What You Think And You Are What You Eat

Got you thinking yet? Read on …

Some extra good news this month. We have been speaking to experts in their field who have agreed to be interviewed – Yoga, Thai massage, Osteopathy, Spinal Therapists, Massage and product distributors etc. All these people are scheduled to give an interview on how, in their fields, those with back, shoulder, neck pain (these are just some of the issues that will be spoken about, more will come) what they can do to eleviate the condition and what to do to avoid the situation. More about this later.

Well spring is on us already (depending in what part of the world your in) and it’s wonderful to see the colours of green coming through. The green energy, bringing new growth to vegetation and with us mortal beings too. We all change.

All things change, and sometimes the change we see and feel isn’t always in the positive. Sometimes we tend to see the negative rather than the positive. There are always two sides to the coin so to speak. Do you see the glass half full or half empty? I was taught many years ago that “With every adversity there is a seed of benefit”.

So whatever the situation, can you see the positive in a negative situation? Let me give you a personal experience. In the last two years my wife and I have lost both sets of parents! You would think that after the first, second, third it would become easier. Mmmm.

Nice thought, however for some they deal with their loss in different ways. Some face up to it and start to do what they can on a positive note, some bury themselves in their work or whatever to avoid dealing with it. Sometimes we don’t know how to deal with it.

In my case it was – and still is at times painful with the loss of loved ones. As was mentioned earlier all things change and it was their time. The negative side is that we ‘felt’ lost of our loved ones.

However the positive side is that they give you all that they could, and they did the best they could although at times I’m sure it didn’t seem that way. They taught us a lot in their own way, and am grateful that I came into their lives as they came into mine. They had the ‘old’ values that seem to be lost nowadays.

So whatever loss you may have had, cherish the time you had with them and also be grateful for the people who come into your life, and are in your life now. They are your teachers. So what lessons did you learn and what can you pass on to your family and fellow man? Food for thought.

Ok, so how is your yoga practice? You may have mastered many postures or not, it’s the journey to your destination which is important rather than your arrival. What do you get out of your practice on the spiritual, emotional and physical levels? What thoughts do you have when you meditate and do you act on them?

What’s your passion, are you living it, what’s your purpose?

Lots of questions this month, hope it strikes a chord or two to make perhaps a little more aware to take you towards your dreams, your passions. What makes you tick? I want to get inside your heart, your centre, your soul. I want to know who you are, where you’ve been and where your going and if I can help you get there then I have served my purpose.

There are many paths to the mountain top, which path have you taken?

Follow your dreams, surround yourself with like minded people, people who inspire you, and you never know it may rub off on you. Never give up.

With luck and the grace of God, the next newsletter we hopefully will have the interviews confirmed, I will let you know in due course.

If you have any questions whatever they on any subject I will do my very best to find an answer for you, and if I haven’t the answer I will find someone who has.

I look forward to being with you soon.

Namaste
